Strong demand of ship plate bring up prices

Asian steelmakers are targeting to raise prices of heavy plate and ship plate, due to a combination of strong demand and tight supply.
South Korean Posco intends to increase price of ship plate by 9.9 percent, effective from 25 October. Japanese JFE Steel said it will raise by 15 percent for its new shipments from March 2008.
Meanwhile,
