There were just a few suppliers offering the prices from last week, due to China’s long holiday starting from this Monday to next Monday.

The prices of hot rolled were quoted at US$600~605/ton C&F Taiwan before the holiday, US$660/ton for cold roller steel, US$680/ton for CGI, and US$620~630/ton for wire rod.

It is predicted the steel price will go up in the near future. First, the price of iron ore should rise in then next year. Second, the other cost including coke and freight is believed to raise. It is said that the 10 percent increase in steel price is in the range to react the cost.
