Mexico launches quotas review on welded steel pipes from US

Mexico has launched a review to prolong a compensatory quota on the imported longitudinal welded line pipes from the US, which were under HS codes 7305.11.01 and 7305.12.01.
This measure was firstly implemented in May 2005. The compensatory quota for Berg Europipe Holding Corporation was initially at 6.77%, and that for other US companies was 25.43%. The measure was extended in 2011 and 2016, and the compensatory quota for Berg Europipe Holding Corporation was lowered to 4.04%.
The Secretariat of Economy (SE) of Mexico confirmed a period of investigation from January 1st, 2019 to December 31st, 2019, and the analysis period was from January 1st, 2015 to December 31st, 2019.
The existing anti-dumping orders were still in force during the review.
